This macro allows you to view files in WinWord 6 prior to opening them. It first gives you a thumbnail of the file. If you press the "Large" button it opens the file behind the dialog box. If you choose open, it will open the file and close the dialog box. If you choose "OK" the dialog box will close. If you choose "OK" with a file open behind the dialog box, it will ask you if you want to open that file for editing. If you double-click a filename in the filename list box, it will change the thumbnail to that file. It only works on files with .txt or .doc extensions. It will inform you if you try to view or open a file with another extension.

  20. To use the macro, open the file, select all of the text, and copy it into a macro. I add the macro to the file menu for convenience.
